Meekat places are those places where pilgrims wear Ihram before performing either Hajj or Umrah. There are a total of 5 places which all those people who are coming with the intention of performing Hajj or Umrah are not allowed to cross without wearing Ihram. Different people are coming from various locations in order to perform Hajj or Umrah and they have to stay at one of the 5 Meekat places so that they can wear Ihram and can then proceed with the rest of their journey towards the completion of Hajj or Umrah.
